Packing for a long trip

When going on a long trip, many people find it necessary to pack everything and anything they think they may want or need. I know, I’m guilty of this too. However, it is important to remember to pack as light as possible and bring only the essentials. You can always buy more, and probably will go shopping while on your trip, and let’s be honest, who doesn’t like to shop. If you’re worried about running out of clothes, you can probably always find a laundromat to wash your clothes at if needed.

Lose all of the worries and refer to these great tips before your big trip!:

Australia

Australia was also an amazing place to visit. While there, I was in Sydney and Brisbane. When packing, remember that the climate is almost complete opposite than it is in the United States. Their summer is our winter and vice versa. Sydney is very modernized, as is the U.S., but there are countless cool things to do while visiting.

Just a few attractions that I enjoyed:

1) The Sydney Opera House (obviously a must see)

2) Taronga Zoo- see many beautiful animals you wouldn’t normally see in the U.S. I even held a koala during my visit!

Greece

Greece is my absolute favorite place I have ever traveled to. It may help that I come from a 100% Greek family and have been their multiple times, but I will never get sick of it. It is one of the most beautiful and historical places that I think everybody needs to visit at some point in their lifetime. Here is a list of some of my favorite places I have visited as well as what they have to offer.

Athens- The capital of Greece that almost all tourists visit. I believe that Athens is definitely a place that everybody needs to visit, especially if it is their first time in Greece. There is so much history in that city, including the Parthenon, and many museums. Nightlife is also very exciting in certain parts of the city.

Santorini- Probably the most beautiful of all of the islands I’ve seen in Greece. It has great shopping and since it is located high off of the water, it has one of the best views of the Mediterranean in all of Greece. It is also the perfect place to get the opportunity to ride a donkey either up or down a mountain. Santorini also has beautiful beaches.

Mykonos- If you like to party, Mykonos is the place for you. It has probably the best nightlife in all of Greece. Clubs are open all night, and what’s better than partying on an island in Greece?

Rhodes- Another island that has a lot of history, and although I didn’t spend much time there, I really enjoyed it. The beaches were a lot of fun, and it offers a great mix of sightseeing as well as pleasure and relaxation.
